We are delighted to announce that our captain, Josh Jackman will remain at the club for a ninth season after agreeing to lead Scott Davies’ squad in 2024/25.
Jackman, who signed for the Rebels in the summer of 2016 from March Town, has amassed 266 appearances for the club and chipped in with 23 goals in that time. He was part of the squad which won promotion to National League South in 2017/18 and won the Berks & Bucks FA Senior Cup the following season. He has won the Managers’ Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season once, and even jointly won the Golden Boot award in 2022/23.
Manager, Scott Davies said: “It’s always good to know that we’ve been able to secure the services of our captain once again. Josh is a fantastic leader of the group, someone that’s highly thought of by everyone at the club and has had another faultless season.
“We made him aware that we wanted Josh to lead the boys into the next campaign and within a minute or two the agreement was reached.
“It’s clear to see that he loves the club, the club love him and it’s brilliant that we get to see him for another season in amber and blue.”
Josh Jackman had the following to say to Rebels supporters: “It’s been a hugely successful and enjoyable season both on and off the field. And my privilege to lead the lads out during that time.
“The foundations are set for an incredibly bright future ahead for the club, and it’s a no brainer for me to want to continue to play my football here under Scotty (and with Yella, Chrissy, Winesy and the rest of the lads!)
“Here is to many more games unbeaten at Arbour Park and creating memories with the Rebel Army!
