We are pleased to announce that we have agreed for 19-year-old centre forward Callum Bunting to join the club from Beaconsfield SYCOB.
We have been tracking Callum since pre-season, and with 17 league goals to his name this season in the Southern League Division One Central, we are delighted to be getting him now.
This has been ongoing for a few weeks as Callum has been on trial at a couple of professional clubs, however he felt that the higher level of football with us would help in his ultimate quest to play full time football. He will join up with the squad on Thursday for training.
Lewis Putman has finished his loan period with Hayes & Yeading, and will also re-join the squad on Thursday ready for the run-in.
We also have some good news on Gavin James in that his hamstring injury is not as bad as first feared, and we are hopeful that he may be back with the squad next week.
Going out will be Dan Hicks, who has been the interest of a couple of clubs in the Southern League. After a conversation with him we have decided it will be best if he goes and plays somewhere else, as with Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Nathan Smart and Jesse Wilson we are well covered at centre half, and we can therefore not see him getting any game time for us in the run-in.
We would like to thank 'Hicksy' for his contribution to Slough Town and wish him the best of luck going forward. He knows the door is not completely shut, however he is aware that due to injuries etc. he has not been where he would like to be this season, which has opened the door for others.
