Cirencester Town: Getting to Arbour Park

A notice for supporters concerning the parking situation around Arbour Park, and other ways of getting to the ground on Friday.

11/04/17

Slough Town welcome Cirencester Town to Arbour Park in the Southern League, Premier Division this Good Friday for a 13:00 kick-off.

The turnstiles and bar facilities will be open from 11:30 and the car park at St Joseph's School (for permit holders - details below) will be open from 11:30 to 12:45 and then after the game for cars to leave. The bar will be open after the match, until 16:45. All tickets will be available at the turnstiles and will not be sold in advance. Admission prices are £10 for adults, £6 for concessions and £2 for under 16s.

The club would like to remind supporters that there is no parking available at Arbour Park on match days (with the exception of Blue Badge parking) and off street parking is extremely limited - however there are a number of car parks within walking distance.

We would encourage supporters to travel by public transport where possible. The ground is conveniently situated approximately half a mile from the train and bus stations where plenty of car parking can also be found. Click the link for more information. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to walk from the station and the car parks. Please do not drive to Arbour Park expecting to be able to park at, or outside the ground. If you do park in residential streets, please be respectful to our neighbours and do not block entranceways and driveways, and do not park dangerously, including on blind corners. There are a number of car parks within walking distance of Arbour Park.

There are various other ways of getting to the ground:

Bus and taxis
For Elliman Avenue use routes 1 (Britwell - Slough), 13 (Haymill - Trading Estate - Slough) or 12 (Burnham - Britwell - Manor Park - Slough). For Shaggy Calf Lane use route 14 (Wexham Park Hospital - Slough). Bus 353 also stops opposite Arbour Park. Buses are operated by First Group - or of course taxis are available from the station.

Cycle
For those of you who wish to cycle, a cycle map of the borough is available from Slough Borough Council and the ground does have cycle racks. Alternatively at Slough Station (Brunel Way) secure indoor bike storage is available – the first month is free and then 50p per day thereafter (only charged on days used) – to find out more visit Cycle Hub Slough.

If you don’t want to use your own bike, Cycle Hire Slough is available at nine sites across the borough and the nearest docking station is at Slough Station (Brunel Way).

Rail and bus
For those of you who travel by train, PlusBus is available as an add-on rail ticket and for £3 per day offers unlimited bus travel on that day. These are available from ticket offices, machines and online.

Disabled parking
Whilst there is no parking at the ground, if you are a Blue Badge holder there are designated parking spaces at Arbour Park. There are limited numbers of allocated spaces and therefore you need to contact the club to reserve a parking space in advance by emailing gensec@sloughtownfc.net.

Parking at St Joseph's Catholic School
Parking is strictly limited to those supporters who have purchased a parking permit. Parking at the school will be by permit only. Permits will NOT be on sale at the gates of the school. If you have ordered a permit but it has not yet arrived, the stewards will have a registration list to allow entry where appropriate. Supporters are reminded that permits are non-transferable.
