Looking Ahead: West Bromwich Albion

Jon Underwood provides an update ahead of the long-awaited visit of West Bromwich Albion to Arbour Park.

28/07/17

The long-awaited visit of West Brom is finally here and everyone at the club is excited to have the opportunity to welcome a Premier League side to Arbour Park.

The most important aspect of the day is clearly to recognise the outstanding service and loyalty of our much-loved physio ‘Super Kev’ but as managers we also see this is another vital day in our preparations for the league campaign which starts in just 2 weeks.

We await the team news from West Brom with interest but we know that whatever side they bring will provide a huge test and a great experience for our lads.

We will unfortunately be without key players in Nathan Smart, Simon Dunn and Lee Togwell who are all available. Alan Inns managed some light training last night but tomorrow's game will come too soon and he will look to step up his training next week. On a positive note we do welcome back Matt Lench and James Dobson in to a 14-man squad.

Due to the absences we are a little light in certain areas and are currently trying to pull in one other player to provide midfield cover from the bench.

Squad: Jack Turner, Josh Jackman, George Wells, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Sean Fraser, Nathan Webb, Warren Harris, Matt Lench, James Dobson, Manny Williams, Chris Flood, Brad Wadkins, Gav James.
