Looking Ahead: Berkhamsted

After four straight league wins, Slough turn their attention to the FA Cup First Round Qualifying tie at Berkhamsted tomorrow (Saturday).

01/09/17

After gaining six points over the Bank Holiday weekend, we now set our attention to the FA Cup and a tricky looking tie away at Steve Bateman's Berkhamsted.

Obviously with Steve's involvement it adds an extra bit of spice to the tie, however we will be approaching the game in the same way that we have done so in all of our games to date.

Every year you dream of a good cup run, and this year is no different - as not only can it bring personal glory, the financial incentives can be really important also.

In terms of the squad, we are able to name seven players on the bench for FA Cup ties, and as we have no injuries currently (other than Harrison Gilkes and Scotty) we will be doing just that.

Togs and Webby were both rested for the Farnborough game, as although they both declared themselves fit, we felt there was no point in pushing them when they didn't need to be pushed, however they will both come back into the squad for tomorrow.

Harrison is expected to get the all-clear at St George's Park this week, and will hopefully resume training with us on Tuesday.

Squad: Jack Turner, Sean Fraser, Josh Jackman, George Wells, Nathan Smart, Alan Inns, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Warren Harris, James Dobson, Matthew Lench, Simon Dunn, Lee Togwell, Nathan Webb, Manny Williams, Chris Flood, Gavin James and Brad Wadkins.
