Looking Ahead: Beaconsfield Town

Slough Town make the short trip to Holloways Park tonight in the BigFreeBet.com Challenge Cup.

02/10/17

Tonight we make the short journey to our old home where we take on Gary Meakin's Beaconsfield Town in the League Cup.

Whilst this competition is not a huge priority for us this season, it still represents another game - and one that we will be looking to win, especially with the depth that we have in the squad this season.

Beaconsfield have started the season very well, and will no doubt be pumped up for the game.

In terms of team news, Simon Dunn makes good progress with rehab from his hamstring injury and we hope to be able to call on him again soon.

Manny Williams picked up a foot injury on Saturday and will not be in the squad tonight.

We also hope Brad Wadkins will be fit to start the game, whilst Warren Harris returns after missing the game Saturday.

Harrison Gilkes will also make his long-awaited debut for the club tonight after 13 months out. It will be great to see him in a Slough shirt as he starts his comeback, with what will probably be a 45 minute stint.

Squad from: Jack Turner, Josh Jackman, George Wells, Nathan Smart, Alan Inns, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Harrison Gilkes, Warren Harris, James Dobson, Matthew Lench, Nathan Webb, Lee Togwell, Sean Fraser, Gavin James, Brad Wadkins.
