Slough Town Juniors: Weekend round-up

Slough Town Juniors had a successful weekend, with wins for all three teams.

02/10/17

This was a better weekend all round - wins for all three teams, lots of goals and more importantly some solid team performances and happy smiling players.

Under 12s
The U12s bounced back from last weekend in their meeting with Singh Sabha. The boys addressed their issues and responded well. They started well, with a brilliant cross from Charlie, that the defender couldn't help but put into his own net.

Singh Sabha piled on the pressure and pulled one back before halftime. Callum had a strike saved which Louie then managed to place into the corner off the post. The best move of the game provided goal of the season so far from Jamie, which won him the Man of the Match accolade.

Under 13s
The U13s put the disappointment of last week behind them. Having worked hard at training, they took what they had been working on into the game.

A slightly different formation and a more positive attitude served them well. Going one down to an early penalty made for a twitchy first half but goals from Jakub and Joe saw them go into the break ahead 2-1.

The half time team talk obviously motivated them well as Jakub added a second, Taylor got two and Alfie L added to the tally. The final score was 6-1, and there were some great goals, fabulous passing and the right response to last week. Man of the Match was Taylor but it would have been a tough choice. Well done to every one of them!

Under 15s
The U15s continued their winning ways despite a below par performance against Risborough Rangers.

The boys looked lacklustre from the start but still went in at half time three goals to the good thanks to two from Feranmi Sanni and one from Francis Ketter.

The second half saw a much better performance and a superb curling finish from Ted Salt made it 4-0. Philbert Arko added a fifth after a strong run from midfield. Risborough got a consolation towards the end but the game was well and truly won by then.
