Slough supporters arrangements for FA Cup Second Round tie

Arrangements for Slough Town supporters for the Emirates FA Cup Second Round match against Rochdale.

03/12/17

Slough Town Football Club would like to draw the attention of supporters to the following matchday arrangements ahead of the Emirates FA Cup Second Round match against Rochdale AFC on Monday evening.

This match is all ticket and as such there will be no tickets available on the day. With segregation in place and a BT Sport crew filming, the availability for parking at the ground is extremely scarce; with no off-street parking it would be advisable to seek alternative ways to get to ground (near-by drop off, car share, taxis, bus/train to station, walk). If you do decide to drive, we would strongly recommend that you use the car parks in and around the train station and the town centre (further details below). The ground is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the train station.

Admission

The game is sold out - no tickets will be sold on the day of the match and there will be strictly no admission without a valid ticket.

The turnstiles will open from 18:15 and supporters of both clubs will be segregated. It is going to be very busy in and around the ground and we therefore advise that you aim to arrive at the ground at the very latest by 19:15 – so please allow ample time to get to the ground and take note of all the information below.

Slough Town supporters will gain access via the Lynch Hill pedestrian entrance (approx. 30 metres down from the usual main entrance) and enter the ground via Turnstiles 1 and 2.

Arbour Park ground regulations

Please be aware that searches of bags and coats will take place and anyone in possession of pyrotechnics or other objects such as flares, smoke bombs or bangers will be refused entry. Any anti-social behaviour will be taken very seriously and any acts of criminal damage or vandalism, including but not limited to the throwing of objects onto the pitch, will result in immediate ejection from the ground and prosecution.
A full list of Arbour Park ground regulations may be found on our Official Website here.

Food and drink

An outside bar will be in operation for Slough Town supporters, but please be aware that this game is being played under FA Rules and Conditions which means that the bar will stop serving alcoholic drinks at 19:30 and all alcoholic drinks must be consumed prior to kick-off. It is envisaged that this bar may become very busy and because of the FA Ruling you may not get served. This is a difficult situation, but we hope everyone can see the predicament and will work us.

We are pleased to announce that the Third Round draw will also be taking place at Arbour Park. This will take place prior to kick-off on the first floor in the West Stand and with the Club having to accommodate Rochdale AFC officials and a large contingent of officials and delegates from various bodies, the Club have decided to use the first floor bar for guests only. Therefore, this bar will not be open to Slough Town supporters on the day.

Various additional food outlets will be in operation in and around the ground, but the first floor kitchen will however be closed. Again, we would advise that these outlets may be very busy and the Club would like to thank you for your patience.

Smoking

Arbour Park is a non-smoking facility with no smoking (or vaping) allowed anywhere within the ground. Smokers are required to leave the facility and make their way to the dedicated smoking area located outside Turnstile 1. Hand-stamping will take place to enable re-entry.

Parking

Parking permits are not valid for this match.

Rochdale AFC will be utilizing the St Joseph's School car park and unfortunately BT Sport will be using a large part of the Arbour Park car park for broadcast equipment and crew – so together with officials, there will be no unreserved parking at Arbour Park and no parking at St Joseph's School. We do have a very limited number of unreserved parking spaces at Lynch Hill Enterprise Academy (SL2 5AY) - but this will be full very quickly.

There are a limited number of unreserved marked Blue Badge parking spaces at Arbour Park, again available on a first come, first served basis for Blue Badge holders.

Off-street parking is extremely limited - however there are a number of car parks within walking distance. We would strongly encourage supporters to car-share or travel by public transport where possible. The ground is conveniently situated approximately half a mile from the train and bus stations where plenty of car parking can be found. Click the link for car parks and getting to ground information. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to walk from the station and the car parks.

THE CLUB WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND PARKING IN OR AROUND THE TOWN CENTRE AND WALKING TO THE GROUND.

Seating

All seats (both in the West Stand and East Stand) have been sold and seats must only be occupied by people in possession of a valid ticket bearing that seat number. No seats are unreserved. Please be considerate and only sit in the seat allocated to you.

Club Shop

The Club Shop will be open before the match for Slough Town supporters – this is located on the ground floor of the West Stand, next door to the Club Room (tea/snack bar area).

Wrap Up Warm!

It can be very cold watching football so we would strongly advise you to wrap up warm – perhaps buy a Slough Town scarf or hat on the day!

Finally

The Club would just like to thank everyone for their support and it is quite incredible that we now find ourselves involved in the Third Round draw of the Emirates FA Cup (albeit before we play our Second Round game!) We hope everyone can appreciate that logistically this has been a difficult game to organise and the Club would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding on the night.

Win or lose, we have come a long way, so let’s enjoy the occasion and... you never know!
