Looking Ahead: Bishop's Stortford

Slough return to League action tomorrow as Bishop's Stortford visit Arbour Park for the first time.

08/12/17

We finally return to League action tomorrow (Saturday) with a home game against Bishop's Stortford.

Jon and I recently watched them against Kettering and were very impressed despite some of their indifferent results, so we are under no illusion how tough the game will be, and that we need to get back into the League form, and not suffer with an FA Cup hangover.

We trained last night and everyone was in good spirits, and with players returning to the squad we look to be in a stronger position.

Mark Nisbet will miss out after picking up ankle ligament damage in the first minute against Rochdale, and it was testament to him that he knuckled down and got on with the game - however I would expect him to miss the next 2-3 weeks.

With that in mind, we are getting Alan Inns out this weekend to Godalming Town to get 90 minutes under his belt following his injury. This will allow him to knock a few cobwebs out, and then be available for our trip to Hitchin.

Gavin James and Harrison Gilkes are both back in training, and have both got the game against Wantage in mind for their competitive comebacks.

With that in mind we will go with the following 15-man squad on Saturday.

Jack Turner, Josh Jackman, Sean Fraser, George Wells, Guy Hollis, Nathan Smart, Warren Harris, Matthew Lench, James Dobson, Simon Dunn, Lee Togwell, Nathan Webb, Chris Flood , Manny Williams and Brad Wadkins.
