Last week, we launched our 2017 Christmas Toy Appeal, aiming to put smiles on the faces of children in the oncology ward and children’s ward at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough.
Following the success of last year's collection, we are again appealing to all Rebels supporters, the general public and businesses to pick up an extra children's present while Christmas shopping and donate it to our appeal.
Supporters are asked to bring NEW unwrapped donations to home games at Arbour Park tomorrow (Saturday 9 December vs Bishop's Stortford) and Tuesday 19 December (vs Wantage Town). Please do not donate cuddly toys unless they are new and sealed. Donations can also be left at the offices of Devine & Co Accountants, 242a Farnham Road, Slough SL1 4XE during business hours.
The ward has patients aged from 6 months to 16 years old. Ideas for presents might include board games, art sets, toiletry sets for teenagers, and baby toys and books for the younger children.
A number of the Slough Town management team and players will be visiting the wards before Christmas to hand out the presents.
