Slough Town PALS improve at Reading

The Slough Town PALS team enjoyed some success at a disability tournament held at the Madjeski complex last weekend.

13/04/18

Last Saturday the PALS entered into a disability tournament held at the Madjeski complex, and enjoyed the day with four wins, two draws and two defeats.

After a poor run of form in the league this made for a good distraction and a chance to try a few changes to make the team more balanced.

Certainly the results seemed to restore some much needed confidence before we return to league action next weekend.

The highlights of the day included a Shawn Harding hat trick against Portsmouth, and a stunning goal from a Paul Wade free kick that beat Northampton Town.

Owen Gareppo continued to improve in midfield, Isaac Okine scored his first goal, and David Meredith debuted in goal, keeping four clean sheets including a goalless draw against eventual competition winners Newbury.

After the matches concluded the PALS watched Reading beat Preston North End as guests of the Royals, whose coaching staff help us out with weekly sessions either at Montem or Arbour Park.
