Preview: Rebels set to welcome Bluebirds to Arbour Park

Jon Underwood provides an update as Slough prepare to welcome Chippenham to Arbour Park.

18/01/19

After a very positive past 10 days we look forward to returning to Arbour Park tomorrow for our third home league game in a row, this time against Chippenham Town, a side we have had many close games with over the past few seasons.

Our opponents will be in good spirits following an excellent win at Billericay last weekend and with them sitting just below us in the table, another hard fought game is expected with both sides hoping to stay in touch with the play-off contenders.

In terms of squad news, we will be without Ben Harris, who serves his final game of his suspension. Other than that, we have a full squad to pick from and although this leaves us with 15, we will continue to allow Nathan Smart to play at Hartley Wintney and are comfortable going with the four outfield substitutes for this game as the players we have on the bench will cover a number of positions.

As many people will have seen, it was a year to the day yesterday when we lost our great friend and club physio Kev McGoldrick. Kev's wife Sue and many of the family will be in attendance tomorrow, and supporters will be invited to participate in a minute's applause in the 32nd minute of the match to mark the incredible service he gave to the club. We would encourage as many fans to come down to Arbour Park as possible and show their respect for a wonderful man and Slough Town legend.

Squad: Jack Turner, Josh Jackman, George Wells, Guy Hollis, Mark Nisbet, Sam Togwell, Sean Fraser, Lee Togwell, Scott Davies, Simon Dunn, Matt Lench, Warren Harris, Louie Soares, Chris Flood, Manny Williams.
