Davies Departs
|
| Terry Davies - top scorer, but a Rebel no more. |
Davies had been subject to a number of approaches from other sides following his blistering start to the season which had seen him top score for the struggling Berkshire side with seven goals thus far, yet an approach from a former club of his was too much to turn down.
Despite speculation earlier in the season of him making a move, Davies stayed with the club and continued his excellent start to the season.
He scored in both the Rebels FA Trophy matches with Hillingdon in the past two matches. Despite pleas from the clubs management, Terry felt it best to make the move and does so with a heavy heart.
It was a difficult decision for the striker who has been mulling over the move for a few days, but finally decided to put pen to paper with the Hampshire side this morning and will feature in their squad for their FA Cup tie with Havant & Waterlooville tomorrow.
The move was not financially oriented but the striker felt the opportunity was too good to turn down following the Rebels disappointing start to the season.
