Bateman brings in Yeboah
|
| New signing Yiadom Yeboah |
He is an effective central defender and all over you like a rash
Steve Bateman in the Slough Observer
Yeboah’s name will not be too unfamiliar with Rebels supporters as the giant centre-back featured in the Tudors two FA Cup games this season against Slough Town.
The Ghanaian born defender’s former clubs include Hampton & Richmond Borough, Northwood and Hayes - where he featured for the Middlesex club in the Nationwide Conference.
As well as being an excellent defender another attribute Yeboah has are his long throw-ins from a standing position which caused the Rebels defence problems in their games against Hemel.
It is hoped that "Yads" will fit into the Rebels ranks quickly, having played with many Slough players before during his time at the Tudors. He will be in the squad for tomorrow’s trip to in-form Woodford United.
Meanwhile striker Garry Sippetts, who has recently returned to training having been out all season after a freak accident at work which severed his ankle tendons, has joined Colney Heath on a month’s loan. The striker will get some much-needed match fitness before returning for the Rebels end of season run-in.
