Didcot Match Preview

Slough Town look to add to their three home wins this season and avenge a recent 5-1 county cup defeat as they host Didcot Town on Saturday.

02/11/07

With a lengthy injury list, Slough Town manager Darron Wilkinson has swooped to add to his depleted squad with the signings of Enrico "Rico" Grimm from Staines Town and Dave Barratt from Cheshunt.

Rico will add to the Rebels striking options with Lee Charles, Landy Salaka and Stan Mugisha all nursing knocks.

Dave Barratt has been a target for two weeks and was signed for the club on Friday following a lengthy transfer from Cheshunt. Dave is a right sided midfielder who is also capable of playing centrally and upfront.

Physio Kevin McGoldrick has been working overtime to get the squad ready for Saturday's game, but the Berkshire side will be boosted by the possible return of Leon Woodruffe following an injury sustained at Hillingdon Borough in the FA Trophy.

Didcot Town's website reports good news for tomorrows visiting side with the possible return of Andy Parrott and only two of the first team squad sidelined by injury in Paul Powell and Grant Goodall.

Didcot will be looking to build on their 4-3 Errea Cup win at Oxford City during midweek and push on into the playoff places in the league. They currently sit sixth in the division, just two points beneath Uxbridge who Slough travel to next week.

Slough will be looking to return to winning ways after a 3-1 defeat at Burnham on Tuesday night. An improved performance from the Rebels saw them fight back to 2-1 and looked the better side for much of the game, but a late goal sealed the win for the home side at The Gore.
