AFC Hayes preview
|
| Jermaine Gumbs - in contention for a return to Slough's attack on Saturday. |
The three players landed back in the UK this morning (Friday) after spending time away on international duty in Anguilla and El Salvador, and will be available for selection.
Visitors AFC Hayes have had a rather topsy-turvy season thus far, winning 12 league games but losing 13, with just one league draw all season. Indeed they have recorded some remarkable results, such as a 7-0 victory over Bracknell and a 5-2 win away at Hillingdon. On the other hand, they lost heavily at home by 2-7 against Farnborough, and 1-6 against Uxbridge.
Slough travelled to AFC Hayes earlier in the season, and the Rebels were humiliatingly dumped out of the Errea League Cup by a score of 6-1. The Middlesex side come into the game with three wins in their last four league games, and with striker Danny Jordan in red-hot form with 21 league and Errea Cup goals to his name so far this season. He netted a hat trick against Windsor & Eton two weeks ago.
Slough on the other hand need to take the positives from a gritty performance against Farnborough and pick up vital points. Apart from long-term absentee George Moleski, the Rebels have no major injury concerns, with Dave Thomas expected to have recovered from a minor injury picked up in midweek.
