Update from Sweets

Manager Derek Sweetman gives his final notes of the season.
Manager Derek Sweetman gives his final notes of the season.
Hi everyone, Can I just say to those of you who made the trip to Fleet on Saturday and to those of you that were there in sprit A huge thank you from myself, my staff, my players and club officials. Your support was unbelievable and very humbling to us all.

Unfortunately we came up a little short of our objective, but at least we have taken what I believe to be massive strides forwards, on and off the pitch and will continue to do so.

Next season cannot start soon enough for me and as you may have seen plans are already at an advance stage regarding pre season friendlies.

This itself has caused a few problems because until we know officially which divison we are to play in the options on who we can play are limited. Couple that with only being able to play one home game (as agreed with Beaconsfield) and the rest of the games having to be played away a few more of my options have been put on hold.

We will keep you informed as soon as any arrangements have been confirmed.

Last night we had a great evening at the race night / presentations to which I would like to thank all those who organized and actively took part in the event.
The players were out in force and enjoyed themselves immensely and I am sure you would join me in saying well done to all those ( Steve Daly, Lee Riddell, Kevin McGoldrick) who received an award.

So that's about it from me for the time being I would just like to say thank you to Steve Easterbrook, Roy and Kevin Merryweather, Gary Thomas, Chris Sliski, Kevin Mcgoldrick, Paul Lillywhite, all the volunteers, players and fans alike who have helped me to start the rebuilding of our club.

Enjoy the break and see you soon.

Sweets.
