"Much Better" - Sweetman
|
| Slough Town progressed into the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup on Tuesday evening. |
Matthew Platt showed the obvious quality he has with two well taken goals and also despite not being fully fit.

"It was a very positive performance and it was great to score five at home", he said. "We were better than Saturday and the team is now beginning to gel as they get more games together."
"The three new signings have provided real balance to the side and I felt all three played well again tonight. One player who did stand out for me was Danny Jordan who worked his socks off for the side. The whole team are willing him on to score and remain right behind him. It took a few games for him to get going at AFC Hayes last season and we're sure it won't be long before they are flying in here also."
"Matthew Platt showed the obvious quality he has with two well taken goals and also despite not being fully fit. If we can clear up these injuries and remain injury free for the season people will be able to see what a quality player the lad is."
"It was a good team performance and we defended well through the side from front to back. A pleasing result and performance and we'll look forward to Farnborough once we've got past the Taunton game this weekend."
Slough Town travel to Taunton Town in the British Gas Business Southern League Division One South & West on Saturday before travelling to Farnborough in the FA Cup on Saturday 13th September.
