As you may have seen from a forum post this week, Aaron Couch signed for the club on Tuesday, having started the season at Burnham and finishing at Beaconsfield. 'Couchie' is comfortable on either wing, and will provide great competition for Darren Wheeler and Warren Harris.
Also joining the club tonight is forward Victor Osobu, who joins us from Hemel Hempstead. Some will remember him during his time at Beaconsfield where he helped them to the Play off Final the year before last, and last year he played over 30 games as Hemel got to the Play off Final in the Southern Premier. He is very quick and will give us a different option up top to the players we already have. He will go straight into the squad on Saturday.
Going the other way is Aaron Lansiquot, who has left the club after an honest conversation on Tuesday night with us. Gary Meakin, now manager at Beaconsfield, had expressed an interest in Aaron, and whilst we think he is a really honest lad, he had not done enough in pre season to convince us he warranted a starting place, and that he was probably fourth in line up front. He totally respected our decision, and we felt that it was best for both parties if he left to join Beaconsfield, which he has done tonight. I wish him all the best and no doubt we will stay in contact.
