Squad update

An update on the Rebels squad ahead of Saturday's trip to Leighton Town.

31/10/13

After being carried off on Tuesday evening, Sean Fraser looks to have tweaked his ankle ligaments. His ankle is currently very swollen and bruised, and he is walking with the aid of crutches. He is expected to miss around four weeks of action.

Johnnie Dyer looks to have recovered from his kidney infection, and came through a full training session with the squad tonight (Thursday). He will come back into the squad to face Leighton on Saturday, which is a huge boost.

Adam Foulser also trained at 100%, and the management team will be looking to get him some minutes in the next few games, which will enable him to get back challenging for a place. Again this will come as a huge boost, as the Rebels club captain has missed 10 weeks of action.

Michael Blount has been out with a groin injury also, and Baker and Underwood are hoping that he will be back in full training in the next 10 days to two weeks. Once Sean Fraser is back, the squad will hopefully be at full strength, something we have not been able to say once this season.

The club has released Rob Carrick, and we thank him for his short spell at the club. With the club's other central midfield players all fit and available for selection, it is the right time for him to go and find a club where he can get regular football.
