It is with regret that after Foulser’s MRI scan today it has been confirmed that he has snapped his anterior cruciate ligament.
We and him are obviously gutted, as that will mean he will miss the end of the season and the start of next, probably being fully fit come November.
I have just been ultra-positive with him on the phone, and told him what an important person and player he is for us, and I know he will work harder than anyone to get back to where he needs to be come October/November.
Luckily he has private health care, so the operation will be done in the next few weeks, however this means he will be house bound for a minimum of 3 weeks after the operation, and as a self-employed plumber this is going to impact on him greatly.
Obviously we are at an early stage having just heard the news, but I myself would like to organise a fundraiser to help him through this tough time.
