Looking Ahead: Leighton Town

A look ahead to this weekend's fixture at home to Leighton Town

Slough Town are set to welcome Leighton Town to Holloways Park this week with both sides in search for three Calor Gas League points at either end of the table.

The two sides have only met twelve times before today with the first meeting as recently as 2006 as the Rebels travelled to Bell Close in the FA Trophy. Whilst it turned out to be a tough season for the Rebels that year, Leighton, then managed by Keith Scott, were emphatic winners on the day and hold a very good record against the Rebels.

Perhaps their most notable win was the 0-3 win in this corresponding fixture in 2012 which effectively sealed the title for St Neots as the Rebels faltered at the season's end.

The fixture at Bell Close earlier on in the season saw Leighton grind out a single goal victory with former Rebels winger Dom Marsala on the scoresheet for the Reds.

Rebels Joint manager Neil Baker was able to provide the Official Website with some squad news ahead of the game.

In terms of team news for Leighton Town we have a few injury concerns:

Warren Harris was unable to train Thursday night due to a knee injury which he sustained last week, obviously he played in the game at Daventry, however he has really struggled this week with it, and is unlikely to be fit to start the game, however we hope to have him in the squad to use in an emergency.

Jake Parsons also has a nagging concern with his hamstring which he sustained against St Ives, however he will also feature in the squad.

Guy Hollis is fully fit now, after playing a full 90 on Thursday, and for that reason Dan Sintim will be with Met Police this weekend, although he will probably be back with us next week or the week after.

Rummy (Leigh Rumbold) will also play his last game this season before going back to the US with work.

The squad will be picked from the following:

Jake Somerville, Sean Fraser, Ryan Parsons, Guy Hollis, Dave Woozley, Steve Duff, Warren Harris, Jake Parsons, Jamie McClurg, George Short, Gareth Risbridger, Leigh Rumbold, Eddie Smith, Johnnie Dyer, Adam Cornell, Scott Harris
