Having watched Ashford deservedly beat AFC Hayes 2-1 on Tuesday night we know this is not going to be an easy game.

On Saturday, Slough Town travel the short distance to our friends in Ashford as we play the Tangerines in a Calor Gas League Division One Central fixture.

Ashford have not been experiencing the best of times in the league this season and currently find themselves bottom of the table on goal difference. In what has been a difficult season, the spirit in the Ashford squad has remained high and a competitive side always takes to the field and something which has resulted in Ashford picking up some very useful points in their league campaign and most recently a very creditable win at AFC Hayes. Support has remained strong for the side throughout the season and the fight shown by a side, which has a good blend of youthful enthusiasm and the experience of some wise heads, will be a challenge which Slough will need to be at their best to overcome.

The Rebels will be looking to continue their excellent 2014 form which has seen them rise to second in the table, but with other play off hopefuls still holding games in hand, Slough will know all too well they cannot afford any slip ups if they are to cement their place within the top five.

Catching up with Jon Underwood prior to the game he was able to provide squad news ahead of the fixture.

We are without Dan Sintim this weekend as he's needed by Met Police to cover an injury concern they have at the back so Ben Edwards will come in to the squad to provide us with some defensive cover. Dan will rejoin us for the two games over the Easter weekend.

Other than that the squad remains the same. Unfortunately Scott Harris is still struggling with his knee (medial ligaments) and our concern now is that he may not play again this season which is a real shame as he had been playing so well.

Squad - Jake Somerville, Sean Fraser, Ryan Parsons, Guy Hollis, Dave Woozley, George Short, Jamie McClurg, Ben Edwards, Gareth Risbridger, Jake Parsons, Warren Harris, James Dobson, Steve Duff, Eddie Smith, Johnnie Dyer, Adam Cornell.

Having watched Ashford deservedly beat AFC Hayes 2-1 on Tuesday night we know this is not going to be an easy game. They have a young side who are full of energy and are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table and have performed very well at home against some of our play-off rivals over the past month or so.

Confidence is clearly very high in our camp at the minute though and we are playing well and are fully focused on trying to win these final four games.
