I am afraid to announce that we have lost Gary MacDonald before kicking a competitive ball for us.
After the weekend he was contacted by Hayes & Yeading manager Phil Babb, offering him a deal that we could not keep up with. This was not purely financial, but geared up to his future, as Gary is very keen to get involved on the management side of things, and this is something that Hayes & Yeading have offered him, and that we couldn’t.
He will stay signed on a Southern League form just in case, however we will now move on, and keep our options open.
I notice that Sam Barratt has been talked about recently; the situation with Sam is he is currently on trial with Maidenhead United, and will likely make a decision on his future in the next day or so. He is currently under contract with Bracknell Town also which complicates it further.
