Fundraiser for Warren Harris

Details of fundraising activity in support of the injured Warren Harris.

19/09/14

As supporters will be aware, Warren Harris has undergone reconstruction of his anterior cruciate ligament today (Friday) in London, and, as a self-employed electrician, he will be unable to work for about four weeks.

Obviously this comes not long after Adam Foulser sustained the same injury, so could seem like a fairly common injury to get, however having spoken to Kev (McGoldrick) last night, this injury has not been sustained by any of the players playing for the last four Slough Town managers, so to say it is bad luck is an understatement.

Anyway, like for Adam, we would like to try and help raise some funds to help tide him over whilst he is not getting any income as it will be a difficult time for him, and having spoken to club sponsors MyFC, we are going to run a separate Golden Goal competition that will help enable us to do this (they will run one online and we will run one also).

We will be looking to sell 91 tickets (as will MYFC) at £10 each, and once all tickets have been sold, we will decide on the game and allocate everyone a number/minute (picked at random), and the winning ticket will win the following three prizes:

A Four ball of golf at West Hill Golf Club which has a value of £320 – www.westhillgc.co.uk

Two tickets to watch the filming of Soccer AM as VIP guests on a Saturday morning in November - www1.skysports.com/watch/tv-shows/soccer-am

And finally a meal for two at a lovely restaurant in Grayshott, Hampshire called Applegarths - www.applegarthfarm.co.uk/pages/evening-dining

It would be great if we are able to support Warren and sell these 91 tickets ASAP, and if you feel that you can sell a batch of them to friends or family that will really help.

You can “purchase” tickets by speaking with either Kay or Ian Lathey at a game. We will need your name, email address (so we can email you your minute number and confirm the game), a telephone number and payment.

Alternatively, If you would like to buy any tickets or think that you could help sell 5 or 10 tickets yourself, you can also contact me direct via at neil.baker@sloughtownfc.net

I thought that instead of just fundraising, we would make it a little interesting for you with three fantastic prizes to be won.

Thanks in advance,

Bakes
