Looking Ahead: Corby Town

Rebels Joint Manager Jon Underwood looks ahead to the this weeks midweek league fixture away at Corby Town

30/09/14

Following Slough's weekend victory at Truro, the Rebels continue their travels with a midweek fixture at Steel Park, home of Corby Town. The Northamptonshire side become another new opponent for Slough to face in the Southern Premier Division.

Ahead of the fixture joint manager Neil Baker commented:

"We turn our attentions to Corby on Wednesday night now, and another tough trip away from home.

We seem to be getting a number of the longer journeys out the way before we enter the rainy season, so hopefully that will help us in the long run.

Midweek fixtures tend to throw up complications with travel, as we have people that work in the City and sometimes getting to away games can prove testing, however, I am sure that we will get what we need up there.

In terms of squad news, as Unders has mentioned George Short has been told he really needs to rest for 2 weeks, however, do not be surprised to see him named on the bench in an emergency, and Daryll Thomas will not be fit due to a back/hamstring complaint.

However we welcome back our skipper Jamie McClurg, and therefore the squad will be as follows:

Jake Somerville, Sean Fraser, Tom Moran, Ryan Parsons, Guy Hollis, Reece Yorke, Jake Parsons, Luke Knight, Jamie McClurg, Adrian Sear, James Dobson, George Short, Scott Harris, Johnnie Dyer, Adam Cornell"
