Steve Hale, manager of the Slough Town Youth under-10 side, was named Grassroots Youth Coach of the Year at The FA’s coaching awards at St George’s Park on Thursday evening.
Alongside Steve, 14 more coaches from across grassroots and elite football were recognised for their achievements over the past year, while four new coaching legends were also inducted into The FA’s Hall of Fame, including former Manchester United youth team coach Eric Harrison.
Everyone at Slough Town would like to congratulate Steve on his award, which is recognition for his commitment to his development as a coach to the under-10 side. Steve juggles his coaching responsibilities with his role as a full-time paramedic, and coaches approximately 40 young players. Steve was recognised for making his sessions fun and enjoyable, always demonstrating a positive attitude regardless of the situation or circumstance.
