Looking Ahead: Hungerford Town and Burnham

Joint manager Neil Baker looks ahead to the New Years football at home to Hungerford Town and Burnham.

31/12/14

Hungerford Town and Burnham visit the Rebels over the New Year period.

Slough have yet to play The Crusaders in a league fixture this season, although the two sides have met in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup with Hungerford securing victory at Bulpit Lane. Slough visited local rivals Burnham on the opening day of the season, Johnnie Dyer and Jake Parsons scoring the goals in a 2-0 victory over the Blues.

Ahead of the matches joint manager Neil Baker commented:

"We go into a tough period of two games in three days in pretty good shape squad wise, the only major doubt is still Jamie McClurg with his knee, and we think he is now more likely for the 10th (January) v Histon.

Guy Hollis will return for the Burnham game, however new signing Adam Martin will be suspended for these two games.

Adam Foulser will do three sessions this week, and will make his long awaited return on the 10th January, almost 9 months to the day he had his operation, and is something we are extremely pleased about.

Rummy plays his last game for us this season against Burnham before flying out to New Zealand on the 7th, and once again we thank him for his contribution to us. With some luck he may look to settle in the UK next season, and we could get the benefit of his services for a full season."

Squad for the two games is as follows:

Jake Somerville, Sean Fraser, Ryan Parsons, Billy Jeffreys, Tom Moran, Guy Hollis, Leigh Rumbold, Reece Yorke, Jake Parsons, James Dobson, Luke Knight, Ben Edwards, Adrian Sear, Oscar Betts, Johnnie Dyer, Eddie Smith and Scott Harris.
