Looking Ahead: Arlesey Town

Joint manager Neil Baker gives his thoughts ahead of tomorrow's (Saturday) visit of Arlesey Town.

13/02/15

Slough will aim to get back to winning ways with the visit of struggling Arlesey Town tomorrow (Saturday).

Arlesey currently sit in 21st place with 24 points, and appointed Zema Abbey and Nathan Abbey as new joint managers this week. The Rebels suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Arlesey in the reverse fixture back in October.

Slough joint manager Neil Baker gave his thoughts ahead of the visit of Arlesey Town. Unfortunately, due to illness, John Porter has been unable to conduct an audio preview for the Arlesey game or review of the 0-0 draw at Histon earlier in the week.

"In terms of the squad, we are slowly getting ourselves into a stronger position in terms of injuries.

"We fully expect to have Ben Edwards and Adrian Sear both available for next week’s trip to Chippenham, and we are also hopeful that Jamie McClurg and Adam Foulser will train next week.

"In terms of tomorrow’s squad, we welcome Johnnie Dyer back in after suspension, plus we will also have Pat Kinsella as back up keeper who has been out in the USA and who has been training with us for the last three weeks, amongst the 17 man squad.

"We are delighted to have Dan Brown again after his excellent debut at Histon, and we thank Gordon Bartlett at Wealdstone for this, plus Gürkan Gökmen trained with us fully last night after sitting on the bench Tuesday, and he really impressed us. He is more of a winger and can play right or left side.

"George Short trained last night, and is edging closer to fitness, however tomorrow might just come too soon for us to throw him back in. Reece Yorke, who had his head glued together on Wednesday morning (after suffering a wound at Histon on Tuesday evening), trained last night and is expected to declare himself fit.

Squad from: Luke Williams, Pat Kinsella, Sean Fraser, Tom Moran, Ryan Parsons, Guy Hollis, Billy Jeffreys, Reece Yorke, Jake Parsons, James Dobson, Gürkan Gökmen, Dan Brown, Adam Martin, George Short, Scott Harris, Eddie Smith and Johnnie Dyer.
