Following promotion last season, club sponsors MyFC immediately identified and launched an initiative to help the club with our away travel costs. I think everyone was aware that these costs were going to be one of the largest that we would need to finance.
Today, I can advise that MyFC have collected over £1,200 (and this is still increasing) to assist the club with travel expenditure - which is an absolutely fantastic achievement. On behalf of the club I would like to thank them and personally thank all the MyFC members who have contributed.
I contacted Mick Newton, Chairman of MyFC earlier in the week to thank him and he commented:
“The members of MyFC are delighted to have been able to assist the club with this donation towards the clubs travel costs - we know from our past experiences just how expensive these can be".
I have said it before but will say it again... promotion last year was gained as a result of many different factors and MyFC’s involvement and financial assistance cannot be underestimated. We are all moving this club forward and I am confident that together we will continue this journey – however be prepared – as there will be both highs and lows!
