The Football Association have released league allocations for Steps 1 to 4 for season 2015/16.
Slough will face six new sides in the Southern League, Premier Division next season following the reshuffle.
Bedworth United and Kettering Town gained promotion from the Southern League Division One Central. Kettering, after suffering a dramatic 3-2 defeat in last season's playoff final against the Rebels in front of a crowd of 2,331 at Latimer Park, won the league in convincing fashion, finishing eleven points clear of second-placed Royston Town. Bedworth finished fourth, and beat fifth-placed Barton Rovers in the play-off final thanks to two late goals. Slough last faced Bedworth in the 2011/12 season.
Merthyr Town and Stratford Town join from the Southern League Division One South & West. Slough will need no introduction to Merthyr, who have knocked Slough out of the FA Trophy in both of the last two seasons - last season by a score of 3-2 in south Wales after a replay. Merthyr went on to storm the league, finishing as champions with 102 points, eleven clear of second-placed Evesham United.
Less is known about Stratford Town, who finished third and defeated fifth-placed Larkhall Athletic in the playoff final. Slough have never faced the Warwickshire-based club before. In recent seasons, Stratford have gained promotion from the Midland Alliance and gained promotion from the Southern League Division One South & West after just two seasons.
King’s Lynn Town and Leamington have also been placed into the Southern League, Premier Division, and the Rebels have never faced either club in any competition.
Norfolk side King’s Lynn had a difficult season in the Northern League, Premier Division, finishing in 18th place, just three points above the relegation zone. Leamington were relegated from Conference North, after finishing in 21st position, five points adrift of safety. The ‘Brakes’ play at the New Windmill Ground.
