Looking Ahead: Farnborough

Slough prepare for their opening pre-season friendly fixture at Farnborough on Saturday.

10/07/15

After returning to pre-season training at the start of July, the first warm-up fixture for the Rebels is at Cherrywood Road, home of Farnborough FC, tomorrow afternoon (Satruday), kicking off at 2pm.

Neil Baker, who like Jon Underwood is a former Farnborough Town player, provided the following squad news ahead of the match.

"We look forward to our first pre-season friendly at Farnborough FC with much anticipation, obviously this is a nice one for myself and Jon having both played for the old club.

As with most clubs at this stage of the season, we have a number of players unavailable due to holiday and work.

Players we will be without are as follows: Adam Martin, Billy Jeffreys, Sean Fraser, Dan Read and Chris Henry are all on holiday and new signing Craig Scott will be unavailable for the first three games due to work and holiday.

We also have a minor concern with Ryan Parsons who pulled out of the last 15 minutes of training on Thursday evening with a tight calf, so may not be risked.

We will also be without the recovering Adam Foulser and Adrian Sear.

The squad will include four of our new signings, the returning Warren Harris and Jamie McClurg, plus Callum Webb (brother of Nathan) who has just been released from Millwall, Wes Harrison who is coming in to bolster the defence on the day, and a trialist from Hayes and Yeading."

Squad from: Mark Scott, Luke Williams, Wes Harrison, Nathan Webb, Callum Webb, Guy Hollis, Gary Macdonald, Neil Baker, Ryan Parsons, Warren Harris, Jake Parsons, Gurkan Gokmen, Jamie McClurg, Ben Edwards, Trialist, Eddie Smith, Scott Harris and Lewis Putman.
