We are delighted to announce the signing of Charlie Mpi who will be well known to Rebels fans from his previous stint at the club.
Charlie joins us from Hungerford where he had a good season last year after joining from Hemel where he won a Southern Premier League winners medal the previous season.
We were keen to add another striker with Lewis Putman getting married at the end of the month and missing both games over the bank holiday weekend while Scott Harris will also miss those two games plus the next one due to a family holiday. Obviously we also have the short term issue of Eddie's hamstring injury.
Charlie trained well with us last night and his pace and direct style will add a different dimension to the options we have going forward.
We are very grateful to Bobby Wilkinson at Hungerford who allowed this to happen so quickly but unfortunately we face a delay in pushing the transfer through as they only registered him last weekend and there is a rule preventing another club from signing him for either 7 or 14 days. We are just waiting confirmation of this from the league.
