Looking Ahead: Cirencester Town

An update ahead of the visit of high-flying Cirencester Town tomorrow (Saturday).

04/09/15

Charlie Mpi's late header against Chesham ensured Slough took away a point from the late summer Bank Holiday weekend. The Rebels now look forward to the visit of high-flying Cirencester Town tomorrow (Saturday).

Cirencester have started the season strongly and sit joint top of the league table, having beaten Merthyr Town 1-0 on Monday.

Neil Baker provided the following team news going into Saturday’s home game:

"We miss Mark Scott through injury and suspension; also Craig Scott and Jake Parsons are still not fit (and are both having scans on foot and knee respectively in the next week to determine if there is longer term damage), whilst Scott Harris returns from his holiday next week.

"We do have some team news in that Billy Jeffreys has left the club. Billy rang me on Wednesday night as he had another reaction to his knee from the game against Chesham (in that he was struggling to walk on Tuesday), and feels that the only way he is going to get it right is if he takes some time of the game. Myself, Jon and Billy know he is not quite where he needs to be fitness-wise, and we wish him the best in his quest for fitness. We will keep in touch, but for the time being thank him for his time at the club.

"Someone joining the club is versatile left sided player Jhai Dhillon, who we have bought in initially on a dual signing from Hayes and Yeading. We have come up against Jhai a number of times for Royston when he was on loan from Stevenage, and also this pre-season for Hayes and Yeading."

Jhai will unfortunately not be available for Saturday's match due to a registration issue.

Squad will be from: Luke Williams, Sean Fraser, Callum Webb, Ryan Parsons, Gary Macdonald, Guy Hollis, Jamie McClurg, Nathan Webb, Adrian Sear, Adam Martin, Ben Edwards, Warren Harris, Gurkan Gokmen, Lewis Putman, Charlie Mpi and Eddie Smith.
