Marlow centre back Dan Hicks has agreed to sign for Slough Town after a seven-day approach.
Dan is expected to sign his transfer forms on Thursday and will come straight into the squad at Bedworth.
Obviously with Billy Jeffreys having to 'knock it on the head' due to injury, Craig Scott out until Christmas, Stuart Lake not an option every week and the personal situation with Guy Hollis, we needed to strengthen at centre back so that we have options.
Having watched Dan play against Godalming two weeks ago, I was very impressed with his stature, the way he played, and feel that at 24 he can still develop further. He played at the club as a youngster and also had spells with Burnham, Chalfont St Peter and Windsor as well as being captain at Marlow.
We have spoken with a number of people who have played with him and against him, and all are of the opinion that he can step up comfortably, and having seen him I can only agree.
We welcome Dan back to the club and wish him the best of luck as a Rebel.
