Looking Ahead: Bedworth United

Jon Underwood previews the Rebels' trip to Bedworth.

18/09/15

We return to league action tomorrow with a trip to Bedworth as we look to build on the valuable three points we picked up against Cirencester two weeks ago.

Having been promoted via the playoffs our opponents have had a difficult start to life in the Southern Premier and currently sit at the foot of the table with two points from eight games so far. We know only too well that we cannot under-estimate any opponent in this league and having won in the FA cup on Tuesday night I'm sure they will be determined to follow this up with a first win in the league. Bedworth play on a 3G surface which we are comfortable playing on but this always adds a different dimension to the game.

In terms of team news we welcome new signing Dan Hicks in to the squad after he trained last night and signed his league forms. We also welcome back Mark Scott after suspension and he has been given an opportunity to come straight back in to the side as Luke Williams is unavailable due to work commitments.

Eddie Smith will probably be out for another three weeks with his hamstring injury but Adrian Sear is making good progress and hopes to resume training next week.

We have allowed Gurkan Gokmen and Callum Webb to go out and get some games. Gurkan played and scored for Ascot on Tuesday night and is with them again tomorrow while Callum trained with Farnborough last night and signed Ryman forms to enable him to play for them tomorrow.

Squad: Mark Scott, Sean Fraser, Ryan Parsons, Guy Hollis, Gary MacDonald, Dan Hicks, Adam Martin, Jamie McClurg, Nathan Webb, Ben Edwards, Jake Parsons, Warren Harris, Scott Harris, Charlie Mpi, Lewis Putman.
