We are pleased to announce the 28 day loan of striker Charlie Strutton from Conference National side Braintree.
The paperwork has been completed today and he will train with us tonight and remain with the club until 28 October. With Eddie Smith still probably two weeks away from resuming training and with goals being hard to come by at the moment we felt bringing in another striking option with a proven goal record was important at this stage.
Charlie is a local lad, living in Stoke Poges who made his name at Chalfont St Peter scoring 242 goals in 202 games which earned him a move in to the Football League three years ago with AFC Wimbledon. Following several loan spells in the Conference National and South he then permanently joined Braintree last season.
He has had bad luck with several injuries in recent years but is fully fit now and just in need of some game time before he rejoins their squad.
