STYFC weekend update

A round-up of the weekend's action across the Slough Town Youth leagues.

15/12/15

This weekend saw the end of football in 2015 for most teams on the back of the Club's Christmas Party on Saturday night.

The U11 Rebels had a good result against local rivals Taplow Boys on Sunday, finishing the year with another fine performance.

The U11 Youth continued their unbeaten run holding on to a very early lead despite late pressure.

It was one of those win-win games for Slough Town in the U12s as the two teams played each other once again. The 'Rebels' ran out 5-0 winners.

The U13s failed to reach the Quarter final of the Berks and Bucks Minors Cup despite a spritied second half performance at Thatcham Town. The hosts went one up midway through the first half and eventually added two late goals to seal the win. Francis Ketter nearly equalised on a couple of occasions but they scraped the wrong side of the post.

The U14s narrowly went out 3-2 to Holmer Green. A lapse of concentration in the last five minutes of the first half put Slough 2-0 down at half time, and even though they dominated they couldn't score. Holmer Green got another goal just after the break and the game looked to be over. Slough never gave up and got two goals back through Thomas Peters and Isa Ishaq but ran out of time to try to get the equaliser. Man of the Match was Tariq Brown.

The U16s game was cancelled.

All teams are looking forward to a well earned break until games kick off again on 10th January, although those who play in the Wycombe League should be in action this coming weekend.
