We are pleased to announce the signing of forward Lee Barney from Wingate & Finchley.
Lee is a natural goalscorer who began his career at Maidenhead United before a spell abroad and then returned to score goals locally at Beaconsfield SYCOB and Marlow before a move to Wingate in the summer. With their recent change in management we decided to make a 7-day approach and we are delighted that he has agreed to come on board.
Lee goes straight in to the 15 man squad for tomorrow's trip to Cirencester who are on a good run currently. Our recent form against them is good with a 1-0 win at home earlier in the season and towards the end of last season in the corresponding fixture we came out on top in an entertaining 5-3 win. We know we will need to put in a big performance tomorrow if we are to continue this run.
Ryan Hope completes his 3-match suspension tomorrow whilst Eddie Smith remains out with a hamstring injury but we expect him to return to training next week.
