Looking Ahead: Dorchester Town

Neil and Jon look ahead to this weekend's long trip to Dorchester Town.

12/02/16

We look to bounce back from last week’s defeat against Bedworth, with the long trip to Dorchester.

Preparations this week have been hampered, with illness to Mark Scott, Dan Hicks and Eddie Smith all showing the same flu-like symptons. Also Rummy tweaked his hamstring late in the game on Saturday, whilst Lee Barney also has a tight hamstring, both of whom have been seeing Kev for treatment this week.

At the present time Rummy is the biggest doubt for Saturday, though we expect all the others to be available.

Paul Coyne picked up a slight groin strain playing for Ascot on Tuesday, and also has the same bug as the other lads, so will not be available for the weekend, when otherwise he would have been drafted into the squad.

After playing 115 minutes on Tuesday and looking good in training, we will bring Jake Parsons back into the squad for Saturday.

Obviously with the concerns we have had this week, myself and Jon have been busy on the phone talking to players and managers; we have put in one 7-day approach for a player at a club at the same level, however we will not be able to speak with him until Tuesday. In addition we have also tried to bring a couple in on loan from Conference South clubs, but unfortunately neither materialised.

At the time of writing the squad will be picked from the following 17 players:

Mark Scott, Sean Fraser, Paul Stonehouse, Jhai Dhillon, Guy Hollis, Dan Hicks, Warren Harris, Lewis Putman, Gurkan Gokmen, Jake Parsons, Nathan Webb, Ryan Hope, Leigh Rumbold, Eddie Smith, Charlie Mpi, Scott Harris and Lee Barney.
