STYFC weekend update

A round up of the weekend's action from across the youth teams.

29/02/16

The U10s had a great day yesterday. The scorers of their goals were Marcel, Max and Dylan. It was a solid performance by the whole team. A clean sheet for the keeper Jimmy and Man of the Match, as picked by the manager, Dean was Thillhan. Well done to the youngest Rebels!

It seemed like a quiet weekend on the footballing front. There were not many games at Farnham Park. The U11 Youth started their Plate campaign against Taplow United. Man of the Match was Joe Reed and the Slough goal was scored by Daanish Ansari, unfortunately the lads went on to lose despite scoring first.

Both the U11 Rebels and U13s games were called off.

U12 Rebels beat Real Milan by 2-1 in a very scrappy game. Well taken goals from Jake Bone and Ellis Boyle secured the win and the runners up slot. Good positioning and solid defensive play throughout. Well done boys!

The U14s continued their recent form with a 10-1 win away to West Drayton in a friendly. The two teams met last year with Slough winning 5-3 which shows how far Slough have come this season. It was a very good team performance and it is difficult to single out individuals. Goals came from Thomas (2), Isa (2), Imran, Cameron Walsh, Tariq, Rocco, Nabil and Sam.

The U16s progressed to the semi final of the League Cup with a 2-0 win against Princes Risborough. Another great team effort with goals from Steffen Bennett and Reece Brophy. Well done boys.

At the other end of the scale, the young kids' training continues with a core of attendees from 9-10am on a Saturday morning. The session is only £4 for the hour and you can just turn up on the day. Judging from the smiling faces, the kids are loving it.
