Looking Ahead: Kettering Town

Joint manager Neil Baker provides the latest squad news ahead of the Easter Weekend fixtures.

24/03/16

We look forward to the challenge of a testing Easter Weekend beginning with a trip to Kettering on Saturday and a ground that holds great memories from our play-off win two years ago.

Our opponents are in good form and are one of a number of teams trying to secure a play-off place, and having been beaten at home by them recently we are very aware of the threat they pose.

Despite recent results our performances have generally been good however and we will travel with confidence and in the hope that this will translate into points on the board this weekend.

We have some decisions to make with several players carrying knocks from Tuesday night. Definitely missing will be Nathan Webb, who is abroad now until Sunday and Joe Grant, our goalscorer on Tuesday, who suffered a knee injury late in the game following a dreadful tackle and he is sadly now out for the season.

Lewis Putman (back) and Mark Scott (hip) are two concerns and may struggle to start two games in three days. We have drafted in keeper Billy Granger who played once for us in our promotion season. Billy started at Fulham and Spurs and more recently has Ryman Premier experience with Met Police and Harrow, and is currently training with Crystal Palace.

One real positive is that we welcome back Charlie Mpi for this weekend's games as he back from Dubai for Easter.

Also Searsy will re-join the squad for the weekend.

Squad: Mark Scott, Billy Granger, Sean Fraser, Jhai Dhillon, Guy Hollis, Tom Williams, Adam New, Ryan Hope, Adrian Sear, Jake Parsons, Gurkan Gokmen, Lewis Putman, Warren Harris, Scott Harris, Lee Barney, Charlie Mpi.
