Our Academy team had some amazing games at home in March.
First, we entertained Southampton in a game which saw Slough running out 5-2 winners after it all being level at 2-2 with 15 minutes remaining. Slough then went on to score three times to record a great win.
Slough then welcomed Mark Anderson's Pulse Academy, a successful Academy with great players. Slough found themselves 0-2 down at half time but crazily had the better chances in the first half. With Slough starting strong after the break, the Rebels scored through Kevin Bell and Pritpal Raju to level it up at 2-2.
Then in the final minute of the game, Bashir was brought down on edge of box, leading to a free kick. Bashir himself stepped up, placed the ball and struck it sweetly into the top right corner to seal a well deserved victory.
The away game at Leatherhead was another strong performance with a clean sheet, and most importantly another three points on the board.
Dartford - another very strong academy with bundles of talent - then came to Slough, but again the Rebels put in one of the best squad performances of the season and ran out 4-1 victors.
It has been great to get all 12 points from four games. Hard work on the training field has paid off - well done to the squad and management team.
