FA Cup: Chipstead to visit Arbour Park

Arbour Park will host its first FA Cup tie on Saturday, with Chipstead the visitors.

31/08/16

After a wonderful Bank Holiday opening day, history will once again be created in the most historic of all football competitions as Arbour Park hosts its first FA Cup match on Saturday with Chipstead visiting for a First Round Qualifying tie! As an added bonus this tie happens to fall on ‘Non-League Day’ too!

Non-League Day was set up in 2010 and has grown to become an annual part of the football calendar, backed by Premier League and Football League clubs, MPs, celebrities, media organisations, charities and most importantly the non-league clubs themselves and the fans who turn up on the day. Always scheduled to coincide with an international break, Non-League Day provides a platform for clubs to promote the importance of affordable volunteer led community football while giving fans across the country the chance to show support for their local non-league side.

We will also be promoting, and collecting funds for, Non-League Day’s chosen charity, Prostate Cancer UK.

Tickets for Saturday’s match will be available on the turnstiles on the day of the match and will not be sold beforehand. Turnstiles will be open from 13:30 - please get here early to avoid disappointment!

Admission prices are:

Adults £10
Concessions [Seniors, Students (with ID), and 16-17 year olds] £6. Proof of age and/or a valid Student Card required.
Juniors (U16) £2

There will be no reserved seating for this match and please note Season Tickets are not valid for FA Cup matches.

The Club would again strongly advise supporters to use public transport, or to park in Slough town centre and walk to Arbour Park (around 15 minutes) as parking is extremely limited nearby. The club would not advise parking in the nearby streets as these are often full and used regularly by residents. The feedback from Monday’s game was that it is much easier and a lot less stressful parking in the car parks near the train station and walking! A map showing nearby car parks can be found by clicking here.

Parking will again be available for Season Ticket holders only at St Joseph’s Catholic School. There are a limited number of spaces available from 13:30 and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Upon arrival you will be required to present your Season Ticket to gain entry. Once all spaces are filled then the car park will be closed, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment. We would strongly encourage lift sharing where possible. Please note that parking is at your own risk, the club assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to parked vehicles.

Disabled parking
Whilst there is no parking at the ground on Saturday, if you are a Blue Badge holder there are designated parking spaces at Arbour Park. There is a limited number of allocated spaces. If you wish to request one of these spaces at Arbour Park for Saturday's match, please contact Kay Lathey (gensec@sloughtownfc.net) by 21:00 on Friday 2nd September with details of car registration, Blue Badge number, phone number and postal address.

We hope to see you there to get behind the Rebels!
