Banbury have started well in the Premier this season and will give us an opportunity to show whether we can compete with that level or not.

Good evening everyone and welcome to Holloways Park for tonight's Evostik Division One Central encounter against Barton Rovers.

We are looking to bounce back from a disappointing result at Rugby last weekend, where we lost despite having dominated most of the game but failed to turn our superiority into goals and gifting them two in the meantime. If we are serious about our intentions this season, then we really need to be winning games like that one and making our possession count.

Barton will present us with a tough test this evening and I will be looking for the necessary response from our boys to secure the 3 points and leave us in a decent position in the league as we then turn our attentions to a the FA Cup at Banbury United next weekend and attempt a bit of giant killing of our own. Banbury have started well in the Premier this season and will give us an opportunity to show whether we can compete with that level or not. I have said all the long that I believe the hardest task is to get out of a division where there is only one automatic spot available.

Our injuries have began to settle down and we will have most if not all available to us this evening assuming Nathan has recovered from the slight groin issue that prevented him from taking the field against Rugby.

As always, your support is excellent and please continue to get behind us as we look to continue our positive start to the season and extend our cup run at Banbury at the weekend.
