Good afternoon everyone and welcome to Holloway's Park for today's Evostik Division One Central league encounter against our visitors Bedfont Town FC.

We extended our unbeaten run last weekend with a victory against Ashford although there was a late scare as they scored two late goals that made the scoreline closer than we would have liked. With 5 changes from the previous week, enforced through injury, suspension and a wedding, I thought the lads that came in gave a good account of themselves and indeed at 4v1 up with 10 minutes remaining we looked comfortable. We lost a bit of focus, which is unlike us this season, and allowed Ashford back into it but I never felt we would throw our advantage away and drop points.

Today's opponents have recently parted company with their Manager and we all know what comes with that. It usually means an upturn in results and players looking to impress and looking at last weekends home victory against much fancied St.Neots, our opponents will represent tough opposition today and we will certainly not be underestimating them in any way.

The players are off out on their Christmas Do tonight and I'm sure they'll want to be partying on the back of another win and maintaining our top spot. With everyone being available after last weekends enforced changes I will have some difficult decisions to make regarding who starts. It's the healthy competition we have which I'm sure is a factor in driving the lads on to make sure they maintain a starting place and last weekend showed we do have the strength in depth to cope with our challenges this season.

On the squad front I am looking at adding to the group and to freshen things up and maintain the healthy competition we have and I will hope to have at least one new player on board by the time you read these notes ahead of the game today.

The support as always is excellent and please continue to get behind the lads as we approach a busy period and some challenging games, as your support really does make a difference and helps drive the lads on.
