Good afternoon everyone and welcome to Holloway's Park for today's Evostik Division One Central league encounter against our high flying visitors, Bedworth United FC.

Our opponents have set the pace from day one of the season and have maintained their position at the top end of the league since then, so we know we are in for a tough encounter this afternoon as we look to bounce back from our first defeat in 3 months last weekend at Chalfont St Peter.

Whilst we were disappointed with our performance last weekend, I felt we should have got something out of the game although you have to give Chalfont credit for their work ethic and never giving up. They didn't repeat that two days later against Beaconsfield when I watched our next opponents replace us at the top of the table with a comfortable win against Chalfont in awful conditions.

So two tough games as we go into the busy christmas period, after which we will have a clear idea of what is required in the second half of the season if we are to push on from the promising start we have made. Plenty of teams, including today's visitors will fancy their chances of coming out on top this season as no side has et managed to pull away so far although I think the top 6 or 7 may well begin to do that during January providing the weather doesn't intervene.

I'm delighted to welcome Chris Seeby back to the club following a spell out of the country and he will be a major asset for us as we enter the second half of the season looking to build upon the start we have made. Also returning in a Player goalkeeping coach capacity is Jamie Jackson and I'm delighted to have "Jacko" back as his heart lies firmly with this club and he is a great character to have around the place and will provide back up, support and ultimately competition for James.

Your support over our next couple of games at Holloways Park could be vital, so please continue to get behind the lads as we look to start another long run which would surely see us in a strong position come April which is still very much the goal for us.
