Role: Former
Ken Brown
Father of Martin Brown.
Capable and experienced custodian who began with Slough Centre before moving on to enjoy a long career, principally with Wycombe Wanderers and Maidenhead United, from whom he was signed in 1966.
Fourteen Berks & Bucks `caps', and 6 County Senior Cup medals, the first at the age of 18 with Slough Centre, crown his career. Ken started with the centre and was offered terms with West Ham but as he was in the middle of his apprenticeship he had to turn them down. He stayed with the Centre for 4 years, moved to Wycombe Wanderers for 6 years when he was coached by Sid Cann, and then on to Maidenhead for 3 years.
The highlight of Ken's career was undoubtedly the 6 years with Wycombe and he now enjoys the challenge of bringing on the younger players at his position of Bob Gibbs' assistant.
His ambition was to take the Rebels to Wembley.Ken has a football loving, nursery teaching wife, Margeret who rarely missed a match. Is employed at a local printers as head of the typesetting department.
Later served the club as both Assistant and Reserve Team Manager.
