Ken Wilkins

Ken Wilkins Position: Forward

Bio

Led the first-team attack upon joining the club. Ken, who at 19 years old, got his chance with the Rebels when Terry Moiling was posted to Kenya and it is interesting to note that he has succeeded in scoring in every match except two, in which he has played in the start of his Slough career.

Ken, who is a progress chaser by occupation, started in senior football with Queen's Park Rangers. He worked on the ground staff and played for the "A" and Reserves sides. Before that he had a few matches with Uxbridge “A” and on leaving Queen's Park Rangers joined St Albans in November of last year and played in both the Reserves and first team.

While at school he played for the Southall District side and the London Schools team and turned out in practically every position on the field.

Since his first game with the Rebels against Carshalton, in the Final of the Combination Cup, Ken has scored seven goals, including a hat-trick against Amersham and was second in the goal table to “penalty king” Les Patterson.

Later played for Uxbridge.
