Matty Bonnett Position: Goalkeeper

Achievements

2013/14 Won promotion to Southern League, Premier Division

Bio

Mattie is a 16 year old goalkeeper who is coming through the youth ranks at the club.

He is still at school, but came to the attention of the first team managers in September 2013 at the age of 15, and immediately became part of the first team squad, training every week.

Mattie is a brave keeper who is an excellent shot stopper with an excellent kick. He made his first team debut at 16 against Uxbridge in a 5-1 League Cup win, and also played in the next round where Slough lost on penalties to Southern Premier League Burnham, and in both games he deservedly got the Man of the Match accolades.

Mattie finished the season on loan at Combined Counties League Premier club Badshot Lea where he also impressed, however a broken leg ended his season early. He is seen as a huge prospect and the management team are expecting him to be available come the start of the season.
